What is Team Ministries?

Team Ministries brings people together who work in a cooperative way to fulfill a specific purpose or need within the church body. Although common in the corporate world, this is a relatively new concept for churches. It tends to develop a strong organization through close interaction of team members.

Team ministries helps foster an environment where the individual ministries of the church are aligned for the larger vision and mission of our church at large. We are no longer independent flowers, but a bouquet, beautifully arranged for the glory of God.

Through Team Ministries, church volunteers are divided into ministry groups. The director of each ministry has a seat on the Church Board. The team directors routinely meet together to pray with each other, support each other, and build up each other’s ministry teams with the purpose of advancing the corporate vision and mission of the church. In developing these ministries at the Hinsdale Adventist Church, a conscientious effort is made to be inclusive, which means looking for people with the right gifts for that ministry while also attempting to provide ethnic, cultural, and generational diversity.

Our church is about sharing the love of Jesus, glorifying God, preparing for heaven -- together.
